Checking

Share Draft (Checking) Accounts

A share draft (checking) account is available to any Newrizons Federal Credit Union member in good standing. The member is responsible to Newrizons Federal Credit Union for any signers on the account. Accounts may be opened for small businesses or qualifying organizations of the member. Members who receive a debit card must accept the terms of this agreement. Newrizons Federal Credit Union reserves the right to close an account for misuse or negligence. The member agrees to surrender their debit card if asked.

Deposits
Deposits can be made by:

• Cash or check in person, by mail or night drop.
• Payroll deduction of a specified amount or total payroll amount.
• Transfers from another account per member request: in person, over the phone, on ALICE (VRU) or by HOMEBANKING (Credit Union activation required)
• ACH credit (Electronic Deposits, Wires)
• Overdraft Protection Transfers

Transfers

• Share or Draft transfers require signed authorization. The exact amount is transferred and a fee is charged to your account.
• Loan Transfers require approval of an Overdraft Protection Loan per the CU loan guidelines. Transfers are in $50 increments and a fee is charged to your account.

Debit card transactions are posted to the account and overdrafts may be handled as a deposit or transfer.

Dividends
Accounts earn dividends calculated on the average daily balance, provided the average balance does not fall below $500 at any time during the month. Dividend rates are set monthly by the Board of Directors and published on the rate sheet.

Fees
The member is responsible for the following fees according to the current Account Fee Schedule:

• Printing of checks.· Overdraft Protection Transfer fees
• Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF)·
• Returned items. Checks may be returned to the payee if adequate funds are not available. The member may be notified by mail.
• Stop Payment Request
• Debit card replacement
• Debit card PIN replacement
• ATM transaction fees

Statements
Statements are available monthly.  Statements are avaiable on Home Banking It's Me 24x7 or by request you may have your statements mailed to your mailing address. Cleared checks are not returned.
